Now that the floor in the community hall is varnished, it was time to fix the main hall floor (minor repairs), scrub, wash, and varnish the floor in the main hall.

Apart from being a fantastic example of teamwork, this reminded me of the verse:

“On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honourable we treat with special honour” (1 Cor 12:22-23)

Usually, a floor just doesn’t get this kind of attention! It gets cleaned regularly, but we seem to have spent months cleaning, scrubbing, sweeping, mopping and varnishing the floors in the new building. There has rarely been a Saturday when some part of a floor has not been lovingly attended to.
