The Clue Is In The Name!
We are Goldthorpe Pentecostal Community Church, an independent Pentecostal church (registered charity number 1126102) situated in Goldthorpe, half-way between Barnsley and Doncaster in South Yorkshire. We are a group of local people working with God in the community and with God for the community. We are passionate about our local community, believing that God works in and through local people in a local setting, yet we are also part of the worldwide body of Christ. Come along to find out more and be assured of a warm welcome! If you want to know more, read the blog section of the website or click on ‘Sermons’ to listen to the sermons.

Youth
Children and young people are not just part of tomorrow’s church, but belong to God’s church right now! We run a Sunday School during the Sunday morning and evening meeting where children can learn more of God (see below) and on Monday evenings we run a youth club for children aged 5-11 years. Craft activities and games are available and there is also a tuck shop selling sweets and drinks at affordable prices. Thanks to a grant from Coalfields’ Regeneration Trust some years ago, we have a range of exciting activities on offer, including Wii games, table tennis and table football.

Food Distribution
We are privileged to be involved with local churches in serving the needy in our community through the Salvation Army food bank in Goldthorpe. We collect food, clothing and other items and pass these on to the Salvation Army, working closely with leaders there to help serve our local community in practical ways, showing God’s love not only with words and speech, but with actions and truth. (1 John 3:19).
Sunday School
During the Sunday morning and evening sermon, activities are run for children and young people to help them learn about God and grow in faith. Children’s songs feature in the evening service to encourage children to participate in worshipping God and the family service (held on the 1st Sunday evening of the month) features activities and games suitable for all-age worship.
